Invega Manufacturer Coupon

What is Invega

Invega (paliperidone) is used in the treatment of various mood disorders like schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. The medication helps those affected by such ailments to think more clearly and hallucinate less in daily life. The resulting effect is a more positive outlook on life and a better self-image. Invega is part of a class of drugs called atypical antipsychotics. This class of drugs works by restoring the natural neurochemical balance in the brain.

What is Schizophrenia?

Schizophrenia is an ongoing (chronic) and serious mental illness that affects the mental state of the person afflicted, as well as the way that they act out emotionally and behaviorally. Most notably, their perception of reality is altered greatly in how it appears to them and how they believe it appears to others. Despite the fact that schizophrenia is not at all common, it can be one of the most debilitating mental illnesses to succumb to.

Schizophrenic people have problems in many facets of life due to their inconsistent perceptions of reality. This makes dealing with people socially a nightmare. A major misconception with schizophrenia is that it is the same thing as having multiple personality disorder. Schizophrenia is defined by a type of psychosis—a type of mental illness where a person has difficulty distinguishing reality from fiction. It’s not necessarily the case that schizophrenia is persistent, it can vary greatly from person to person. Some people only have one episode.

Schizophrenia Symptoms

The additive symptoms of schizophrenia are as follows:

  1. Delusions – Delusions are typically absurd and/or false beliefs that aren’t true nor are they based on reality. The delusional person refuses to relinquish these delusional beliefs. A highly common delusion is that other people can hear the schizophrenics’ thoughts. They also may believe these thoughts are the personal communications of the devil or God.

  1. Hallucinations – Hallucinations are essentially experiencing sensations that do not exist. False visual occurrences are commonly thought of when people think about hallucinations, but auditory hallucinations are possible as are sensations on the skin, false smells, or tastes on the tongue.

Invega Uses/Side Effects

Invega is taken by mouth with or without food. The dosage is highly dependent on the person and severity of symptoms, it is not recommended to stop taking Invega suddenly as the absence of symptoms does not denote that the medication is not necessary anymore.

Side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, and lightheadedness. If you experience any serious side effects such as difficulty swallowing, tremors or muscle spasms then inform your doctor right away.

What is Edarbi?

Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is a disease that is generally caused by lifestyle choices. As a global health concern, the World Health Organization has suggested that a primary reasons for the epidemic of hypertension lies in the fact that many people are consuming processed food at an alarming rate. The amount of salt in diet also plays a huge role in the development of this disease. Around 85 million people have high blood pressure in the United States. Edarbi helps to lower blood pressure in affected individuals. Along with this, there are many other ways that one can help lower his/her blood pressure. Here are just a few:

Stress Reduction

Avoiding stress primarily starts with you and your own individual actions. Taking personal responsibility for what you do with your body is a skill that many people would do well to practice: things like quitting smoking, cutting down on alcohol and drugs, and healthy eating are just a few of the things that can improve overall health markers in unhealthy individuals. There is no one root cause of stress and learning what you can and cannot will certainly help you in this endeavor.

Meditation, yoga, gentle exercise, and less processed food will help lower levels of stress and the stress hormone cortisol in the body. A healthy diet and regular exercise is really the best cure for hypertension. However, Edarbi may be needed for certain individuals who need a little extra assistance.

Edarbi Side Effects

Every medication comes with side effects and it is up to you and your doctor to determine whether or not the pros outweigh the cons. A few of the most common side effects include:

• A tired feeling of feeling of lethargy

Tell your doctor if you experience any of the following, more serious possible side effects:

• Confusiuon
• Feeling like you might pass out. Or you do pass out
• Unusual muscle scpasms
• Symptoms associated with a high blood potassium level, such as a slow or irregular heartbeat, muscle weakness, or loss of control in the limbs
• Unusual changes in the amount of urine

How Does Edarbi Work?

Edarbi relaxes your blood vessels by lowering the action of angiotensin II in the arteries and the blood stream, allowing a reduction in the level of your blood pressure. In combination with a healthy diet and exercise, Edarbi can help you maintain and reach a level that is healthy for your overall well-being.

The Cost of Edarbi

Ways to Manage Type 2 Diabetes

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “Over 30 million Americans have diabetes (about 1 in 10), and 90% to 95% of them have type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes most often develops in people over age 45, but more and more children, teens, and young adults are also developing it.” There are many ways to manage type 2 diabetes, and in some cases, these management plans can even reverse the disease itself.

The effects of chronically elevated blood sugar levels are too damaging to ignore; vision loss, kidney disease, and heart disease are just a few end-stage symptoms of type 2 diabetes. The American Diabetes Association also estimates that the average medical expenditure for people living with diabetes is around $14,000, which is around 2.3x higher than people who do not have diabetes. Here is a list of ways to manage type 2 diabetes.

Natural Ways to Treat Type 2 Diabetes

Before we delve into the realm of prescription medication and natural ways to treat type 2 diabetes, an understanding of what causes the disease can help shed some light into its treatment. Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of diabetes, and unlike type 1 diabetes, type 2 generally develops in people aged 40 and older. Type 2 diabetes is a metabolic disorder caused by insulin resistance, which is when a person does not respond in a normal manner to the pancreas-produced hormone insulin. Insulin controls blood sugar levels, so when a person stops responding to insulin, blood sugar levels become chronically elevated; the body can respond by producing more insulin for a while, but eventually the system will fail. There are a number of variables that can cause type 2 diabetes and its usually a combination of:

  • Being overweight or obese
  • Eating a poor diet
  • Having chronically elevated levels of inflammation in the body
  • Living a sedentary lifestyle and not exercising
  • Experiencing high amounts of stress
  • Taking medications that can disrupt insulin production
  • A history of heart disease or high blood pressure
  • A hormonal condition (Cushing’s syndrome, hyperthyroidism, etc.)

So how do we reduce or eliminate some of the above risk factors? Simple! Diet and exercise.

Diet for Type 2 Diabetes

There are foods that you should eliminate entirely from your diet if you have been diagnosed as pre-diabetic or with type 2 diabetes.

Eliminate these foods:

  • Refined Sugars: this type of sugar rapidly spikes blood glucose. It can be found in soda, fruit juice, food products, honey, maple syrup, and salad dressings.
  • Grains: Excessive consumption of grains can lead to chronic gut inflammation. Large amounts of grain/carbohydrates are converted to sugar inside the body, which can lead to large spikes in blood sugar. Try eating vegetables and fruit instead.
  • Alcohol: alcohol can increase blood sugar levels and lead to liver toxicity. Many alcoholic beverages, such as beer and flavored drinks, also contain high amounts of carbs and sugars.
  • Hydrogenated Oils: Avoid vegetable oil, cottonseed oil, canola oil, and soybean oil. These oils have been linked to numerous health concerns; these products are routinely treated with high heat, bleaching agents, and artificial dyes.

Add These Foods:

  • High-fiber foods: foods that contain large amounts of fiber, such as vegetables and fruits, help regulate blood sugar levels in the body. Try adding broccoli, berries, nuts, Brussels sprouts, artichokes, and other leafy green vegetables.
  • Foods that contain magnesium: magnesium is associated with healthy blood sugar and glucose metabolism. Try adding foods such as chard, almonds, yogurts, black beans, spinach, and pumpkin seeds.
  • Clean proteins: try adding chicken, grass-fed beef, eggs, lentils, bone broth, and wild-caught fish. Protein has been shown to have a minimal effect of blood glucose levels. Protein can also slow down the absorption of sugar.
  • Low glycemic load foods: These foods have a low impact on blood sugar levels, meaning they do not convert into sugar as fast as high glycemic foods. Foods in this list are nuts, seeds, coconut, organic meat, eggs, fish, non-starchy vegetables, and stone fruits and berries.

Many of these foods also promote weight loss, which can be the deciding factor in treating and reversing diabetes. Assuming you maintain a healthy diet, you can say goodbye to your type 2 diabetes medications forever.

yoga

Exercise for Type 2 Diabetes

There are too many benefits of regular exercise to list (but we’ll list some anyways); exercise reduces chronic inflammation, reduces body fat levels, improves muscle mass, balances blood glucose, reduces cholesterol levels, promotes heart health, and improves the overall quality of life. Since being overweight is the main cause of type 2 diabetes, exercise should be at the top of your priority list if you have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

Any activity is better than no activity. Aim for at least 30 minutes a day! This can include yoga, weight training, walking, jogging, biking, hiking, Pilates, stretching, and anything in-between. The best exercise program is one that you can stick to and one that you can enjoy.

Prescription Medication for Type 2 Diabetes

Sometimes proper diet and exercise is not enough when it comes to the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Medications like Janumet, Januvia, and Metformin can help your body regulate blood sugar levels without the use of injectable insulin. Consult with your doctor to find the best treatment plan for your unique condition.

If you need help paying for Janumet, Januvia, or other diabetes medications, Rx Assistance Programs can help. We specialize in patient assistance programs, which help uninsured or under-insured Americans pay for their expensive pharmaceutical drugs.

Benefits of Regular Physical Activity

While prescription medication is a god-send for people that suffer from debilitating and chronic illnesses, the best type of medicine is preventative care. The benefits of regular physical activity are well-researched and well-known; exercise can help prevent many serious conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and type 2 diabetes. With numerous short-term and long-term health benefits, exercise is a great idea for any individual looking to improve symptoms of their medical condition and their general well-being. Here are just a few of the benefits of regular physical activity:

  1. Weight Loss

Many chronic conditions – such as type 2 diabetes – are caused by an excess amount of weight carried by the human body. Inactivity is a large factor in weight gain that can ultimately contribute to obesity. Regular aerobic and anaerobic exercise has been shown to increase your metabolic rate, so you can burn more calories even when you are not exercising. Combine increased physical exercise with a reduction in the amount of calories consumed and you will be well on your way to a healthier body and life.

  1. Muscle and Bone Strength

Building and maintaining bones doesn’t just mean getting your daily intake of calcium. The body is a beautiful machine that is meant to be used! High-impact exercises such as running, weightlifting, and gymnastics have been shown to improve bone density more-so than low-impact exercises such as cycling, yoga, and swimming.  Increased bone density in your younger years can also help osteoporosis later in life.

Exercise also stimulates the growth of new muscle fibers when coupled with a moderate increase in protein intake. Exercise also releases multiple hormones that aid in the body’s ability to absorb and use amino acids, which are the building blocks for muscle regrowth and repair.

  1. Reduce Fatigue

In an interesting study, it was found that exercise can significantly improve the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) in affected individuals. Exercise showed a much greater improvement in fatigue symptoms related to progressive illnesses (such as multiple sclerosis, HIV, cancer) when compared to stretching, relaxation, therapy, and stimulant medication.

  1. Reduce the Risk of Chronic Disease

Many chronic diseases are related to prolonged inflammation of the body and an excess amount of weight. In fact, a lack of regular exercise has been shown to be THE cause of most chronic disease. Regular cardiovascular exercise has been shown to reduce blood fat levels, body fat levels, and improve blood pressure and heart function. Regular exercise has been shown to reduce the rates of type 2 diabetes, sudden early death, heart disease, and obesity.

  1. Improve Skin Health

Regular exercise can help improve the body’s production of natural antioxidants, which help protect cells from oxidative stress. Oxidative stress occurs when the body cannot repair damage that is caused by free radicals, which can lead to internal damage of the organs and external damage of the skin. Exercise can also improve blood flow to the skin, which can improve overall appearance and delay skin aging.

  1. Improve Brain Health and Memory

Exercise improves brain function, memory, and health through various avenues of improvement:

  • The size of the hippocampus, prefrontal cortex, and frontal cortexes increase with regular physical exercise. These are the areas of the brain that are responsible for working memory, verbal memory, problem solving, and the development of personality (among other characteristics).
  • Exercise reduces negative changes in the brain which can lead to neruo-degenerative disorders such as schizophrenia and Alzheimer’s.
  • Exercise reduces chronic inflammation and oxidative stress, which are two factors associated with cognitive decline in older adults.
  • Exercise stimulates the growth of new brain cells and neural connections, which can strengthen and repair the connections between multiple areas of the brain.
  • An increase in heart rate and oxygen will allow more blood flow to brain tissue.
  1. Improved Sleep Quality

One study has proven that 2.5 hours of regular, moderate exercise per week can improve sleep quality by about 65%. This was shown across the board, even with age groups that experience more instances of sleep disorders (the elderly). Energy depletion during exercise is also hypothesized to decrease the internal temperature of the body during sleep, as well as increase the regenerative properties of the body when at rest.

  1. Reduce Chronic Pain

In recent years, studies have proven that exercise can help improve symptoms of pain in chronic pain patients. The overall consensus and recommendation for chronic pain patients used to be rest and inactivity, while new research proves the opposite. Regular exercise has also shown to improve the level of pain tolerance, as well as decrease the amounts of pain perception in patients.

  1. Improve Your Sex Life

Exercise improves muscle tone, increases sex drive, improves blood circulation, strengthens the cardiovascular system, improves sexual performance, enhances sexual pleasure, increase the frequency of sexual activity, improves the quality of orgasms, and promotes an enhanced feeling of well-being. Regular exercise has also been shown to reduce the symptoms of erectile dysfunction in men.

  1. Improve Levels of Happiness

Exercise is now being commonly prescribed by forward-thinking doctors for the alleviation of symptoms related to mental disorders such as chronic stress and anxiety. By promoting the release of endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine, exercise can help combat mental stress and improve a person’s perceived mental state. Interestingly enough, studies have shown that it does not matter how intense the exercise is; people benefit from low-to-moderate-to-high intensity levels of exercise across the board.

The impact of exercise is so powerful that stopping exercise can have a dramatically negative impact on individuals who regularly exercise. The takeaway? Regular exercise improves nearly all markers related to mental well-being and mood regulation.

The Health Benefits of Exercise

The health benefits of exercise are well-documented, well-researched, and infallible. Exercise is proven to Improve your skin tone, reduce your risk of chronic disease, increase your energy levels, improve muscle and bone strength, reduce negative weight, promote a better sex life, reduce symptoms of chronic pain, aid in sleep quality, and improve brain health and memory function. If they sold a pill that did all that, it would be flying off the shelves!

We recommend at least 30 minutes of daily exercise to reap all the benefits listed above. The best part? It’s free, it doesn’t need a doctor’s prescription, and it helps you look and function your best.

Asthma can substantially limit your overall quality of life and how you interact on a day to day basis with other individuals. The looming threat of an asthma attack can affect your ability to enjoy exercise, outdoor activities, sports, group activities, work, and school. Foods to Avoid

Losing weight effectively is a combination of many factors. Many people believe that exercise and eating right are the two main components of healthy weight loss, when there really is a third: avoiding unhealthy food choices. All the broccoli and weightlifting in the world won’t stop unnecessary weight gain if you are loading your body full of sugar and artificial sweeteners. Here is a list of the foods that you should avoid on a daily basis as part of your new healthy lifestyle.

Artificial Sweeteners

Low-calorie or zero-calorie beverages have been shown to counter-intuitively lead to weight gain, according to a number of new studies and leading nutritionists. According to Chelsey Amer, a registered nutritionist and dietitian, she states “I do not think there is sufficient evidence to prove that most artificial sweeteners are safe for consumers…”. Many artificial sweeteners signal your body that more sweet stuff is on the way, which can lead to sugar cravings and binges. Our advice? Avoid the diet soda (and soda) and switch to water sweetened with lemon or natural sweeteners, such as stevia.

doughnuts

Reduced-Fat and Sugar-Free Products

Reduced-fat food products such as peanut butter are actually going to do more harm than good. Reduced fat foods often contain more artificial sweeteners, sugar, and other chemicals to improve the taste. Enjoy healthy, all-natural, full-fat peanut butter in moderation. Healthy fat is good fat. Along the same lines, enjoy grass-fed butter instead of artificial margarines. Most margarines are simply highly-processed vegetable oils, which do no good for you or your heart.

Sugar-free products are not just unsatisfying; they are also loaded with artificial sweeteners that don’t really satisfy your sweet tooth. It’s honestly just better to have a piece of cake or a cookie with actual sugar in it. Sugar and fat, in moderation, can be a part of a balanced-diet. Many people overeat sugar-free options because of how unsatisfying they are.

Cereal Bars and Poptarts

Most cereal bars and poptarts contain a huge amount of sweeteners and sugar. You’re better off sending your kid to school with a candy bar. Try apples, bananas, and fruits for a sweet treat.

Artificial Foods

Avoid foods that contain high amounts of artificial dyes and chemicals, like cookies, frozen TV dinners, chips, pizza, many boxed cereals, cheese-flavored snacks, canned cheese, and dessert-products.

Also on this list? Refined grains. Things like white bread, white rice, and most pastas take out the bran and germ from the whole grain, destroying the iron, B vitamins, and dietary fiber found in things like brown rice and whole grains. Opt for whole grain options rather than their white-bread and white-rice counterparts.

cereal what not to eat

What Not to Eat

If you think about what you shouldn’t eat, you honestly already know the answer. Swap sugary drinks and diet soda for water. Take those candy bars, throw them out, and buy fruit and vegetables instead. Resist the urge to get that doughnut from the store or office early in the morning. While it’s not easy changing your lifestyle, many costs can be cut from your bank account by living a healthy diet.

One of those costs? Prescription medication. Rx Assistance Programs provides patient assistance programs for thousands of people a year; we specialize in prescription assistance programs, which help uninsured and under-insured Americans pay for medications that treat serious conditions such as diabetes type 2, high blood pressure, and complications associated with heart disease. Medications such as these are a gift to those that suffer with obesity-related illnesses. However, you can save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on medication by incorporating a healthy lifestyle.

If you need assistance with your prescription medications, give us a call at 1-(855) 201-0232 or visit our contact page today.

Azilect Patient Assistance

Azilect – known by the generic name Rasagiline –  is used alone or with other medications to treat symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. This medication can be used with medications such as levodopa or carbidopa as part of a treatment plan to combat the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease.

By taking Azilect, it can help improve symptoms of Parkinson’s disease such as stiffness, shakiness, difficulty moving, and “off” periods – periods characterized by periods of slow, stiff, or shaky movements that affect an individual’s way of life and level of comfort.

Azilect belongs to a class of drugs called MAO inhibitors. These drugs work by increasing levels of neurotransmitters and other substances in the brain. Neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin, norepinephrine, and others are increased by taking medications such as Azilect. Parkinson’s disease is thought to be caused by too little dopamine in the brain.

Azilect Side Effects

Many medications come with a risk of side effects. Azilect is no different, as it has the potential to give you stomach or abdominal pain, weight loss, dry mouth, nausea, heartburn, joint pain, drowsiness, dizziness, light-headedness, and other unsavory symptoms. When taking Azilect, make sure to stand up slowly to reduce the risk of feeling dizzy or light-headed.

Serious side effects can include a loss of balance, confusion, depression, hallucinations, fainting, worsening of muscle stiffness and twitching, uncontrollable movements, swollen ankles, legs, easy bleeding and/or bruising, and unusual urges towards risky behavior (such as gambling, sex, and alcohol abuse).

Many people have fallen asleep while performing daily activities while taking Azilect. This has occurred while driving, performing work duties, and while talking on the phone. The risk of falling asleep is increased when taking other sedative medications or while drinking alcohol. Azilect can also increase the risk for high blood pressure, severe headache, fast heartbeat, chest pain, vomiting, sweating/clammy skin, widened pupils, vision changes, sensitivity to light, unusual agitation, and serotonin syndrome. Call your doctor if any of these serious – and rare – side effects occur.

Azilect Precaution and Interactions

Limit alcohol while taking this drug, as well as recreational drugs. Talk to your doctor if you or your family have a history of heart disease, heart attack, chest pain, heart failure, schizophrenia, sleep disorders, overactive thyroid, bipolar disorder, depression, high blood pressure, liver disease, severe headache, stroke, or coronary artery disease.

This drug interacts with certain medications such as antidepressants, SNRIs and SSRIs, MDMA, tramadol, narcotic opioid medication, and MAO inhibitors. Using these drugs increases the chances of serotonin syndrome, a potentially fatal condition.

What is Cialis?

Cialis is used to treat erectile dysfunction.  Cialis is also used to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia-BPH). It helps to relieve symptoms of BPH such as difficulty in beginning the flow of urine, weak stream, and the need to urinate frequently or urgently (including during the middle of the night). Cialis is thought to work by relaxing the smooth muscle in the prostate and bladder. Do you need help with the cost of Cialis? Cialis is used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) and symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy (enlarged prostate). In combination with sexual stimulation, Cialis works by increasing blood flow to the penis to help a man get and keep an erection.

How does Cialis work?

To treat the symptoms of BPH, take this medication as directed by your doctor, usually once a day. If you are also taking finasteride with this medication to treat symptoms of BPH, talk with your doctor about how long you should continue taking this medication.

To treat erectile dysfunction-ED, there are 2 ways that Cialis may be prescribed. Your doctor will determine which is the best way for you to take Cialis. Follow your doctor’s directions exactly since your dosage depends on how you are taking it. The first way is to take it as needed, usually at least 30 minutes before sexual activity. The effects of Cialis on sexual ability may last up to 36 hours.

The second way to treat ED is to take Cialis regularly, once a day every day. If you take it this way, you may attempt sexual activity at any time between your doses.

cialis prescription assistance

If you are taking Cialis to treat both ED and BPH, take it as directed by your doctor, usually once a day. You may attempt sexual activity at any time between your doses.

If you are taking cialis once daily for BPH, or for ED, or for both, take it regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time each day.

What are the potential side effects of Cialis?

Headache, stomach upset, back pain, muscle pain, stuffy nose, flushing, or dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Sexual activity may put extra strain on your heart, especially if you have heart problems. Prozac Prescription Assistance

Prozac is a very popular medication used to treat panic disorder and OCD. It has also been shown to help with anxiety and major depressive disorder. In this article, we’ll talk about how to obtain Prozac prescription assistance, what it treats, and how to manage panic disorder.

What is Panic Disorder?

This condition is diagnosed in people who have a history of panic attacks (seemingly out-of-the-blue) and have a very real fear of having another panic attack. Approximately 2-3% of Americans will experience panic disorder in a given year. Panic disorder can diminish your quality of life, can make you miss work, avoid situations, people, and places, and make you avoid everything worthwhile.

Managing Panic Disorder

If you’ve ever experienced sudden symptoms of severe anxiety, such as sweating, hyper-ventilating or heavy breathing, intense feelings of dread, and an alarming amount of fear for no reason, you’ve probably experienced a panic attack. The first two things you should remember are that: 1. It’s a panic attack and not a life-threatening ailment, and that 2. You must challenge your thoughts and not fall into a vicious cycle. Challenge your catastraophizing and anxious thoughts, and realize that even the worst case scenario is probably not going to happen. You can handle this, and it will not last forever. Don’t fall into your own thinking trap. You have more power than you realize over this.
